Free and Plus use the same strong encryption
Plus sells convenience and unlimited use, not better security. There is no weakened encryption for people who do not pay. Both tiers use AES-256-GCM with Argon2id, with identical parameters.
Billing
Plus is a yearly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel. Payment and management run through Stripe. Payment method, invoices and cancellation live in the Stripe customer portal.
Decryption always stays free
Even when your allowance is used up or a subscription ends, files you protected with Loclavis can always be opened again. There is no lock in front of your own data.
